(COLUMBUS, Ohio)The Columbus Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce auditions for the 2009-2010 Columbus Symphony Chorus.

 

WHEN:           Tuesday, September 1

5:30 to 10 p.m.

 

WHERE:         Ohio Theatre

Room 1 on the lower level

55 East State St.
Columbus, OH 43215

 

ABOUT:          Candidates will be asked to sing a prepared piece of classical music that demonstrates the person’s voice and musicality. An accompanist will be provided, but please supply a copy of the music for the pianist and one for the chorus conductor to follow. Each person will also be asked to sight-read. Finally, candidates will be given ear-training/testing and then be asked to vocalize those intervals. All participants will be notified the following week by letter after the final audition.
